I've yet to play BF1 but I played titanfall on the pc a while ago. It was okay. I'm not a huge fan of all the jumping around and bouncing off stuff movements that are in games nowadays. I *think* I played battlefront back in the day on the pc but not 100% sure. I liked some of the older CoD stuff but I played AW and BO3 and wasn't really a fan of either. I like the simplicity of the original black ops. Especially the zombies.

Destiny is good. I played a lot of that on the ps4. I just got forza since it was free last go around. I actually heard a lot of negative things from the division so I stayed away from that. Doom was pretty good. Just straight nonstop action.

 

That's exactly why I hate the new CoD too, but then you'll like BF1. It's total old school, and incredible graphics. I hate all the high-techy fake robot war crap. That said, I do love Titanfall even though it's a high-techy fake robot war, but it's just flat out fun. I can't really pinpoint what sets it apart from the newer CoD, but it's just really, like, arcade-y type fun. Blops is backwards compatible too! I love it.

Fallout 4 is fun, it's the only fallout I've played. I'm enjoying FFXV. Updated Skyrim if you're into elder scrolls games. Rocket League is a blast.

Another thing I don't really like about a lot of games recently is the lack of split screen mode. Very few games anymore allow you to play with a friend on the same console.

 

That bothers me as well. Not that I have people over a lot that would play stuff with me but I do have one friend I would hang out with more if we could play stuff together.

I never buy new consoles. I always wait until microsoft's drops to the $250 range. I picked mine up on black friday both times (360 was 3 years ago). This year, I got the second controller for 2.42 (stupid sales tax. Xbox One S w/ BF1 $249.99 + $40 target gift card; controller on sale for $39.99). Probably will save up and do the PS4 next year. And yeah, games are silly cheap now. Course, they're coming out with a new one next holiday, but whatever, it's all "new" to me at the moment, and until I get a better TV, I doubt I'll notice any differences in the graphics of the games at this point.
