    It makes sense to buy an X1 because of the play anywhere titles and the expansion of that program.

    Hostageware sucks. I mean it is a 'reason' to buy it... just a bad one. You should want to get a console because of the experience and not because they are holding software hostage.

    For the play anywhere to PC isn't it the garbage windows store though? Fuck that noise.

    Windows store is pretty user friendly these days. Also, the nice thing about Xbox is you can share game titles with a friend. I'm doing that with one of my friends and that has cut my game spending in half. Plus we always have someone to play with.

    I mean, game on whatever you like.. that's what I do.

    Most games actually aren't DRM free, that's a common misnomer. Just about every game out there has a form of digital rights management, be it as software, or just legal jargon to protect the owners intellectual property.
