    Been years since I had bluegill. Really need to look into a place to fish again. I remember a long time ago Meijer actually sold it. They were able to get around the game fish problem by raising it themselves if I remember right. Didn't last for long, maybe a year. Was nice to be able to grab it at the store ready to go.

    I caught a mess of bluegill the other weekend, but I threw them all back (small lake, didn't want to mess with the population). Come to think of it, it's been over a year or so since I've actually eaten bluegill...

    It has a good flavor. The first time someone tried to tell me they wanted to fix it for breakfast I thought they were crazy. A good pan fry and it's really good with eggs though.

    Got a state park about 30 minutes away, just not set up to fish anymore. No equipment, license, or park pass anymore. Gonna have to fix that for next year.
