early 2012 right? mine's mid 2012. i know we geek out about our love for our macbooks all the time, but considering how terribly i treat it, they are serious champs. i've never had any laptop run this efficiently and reliably for more than just a few years.

Pros: Most of these are quick and easy. I have never had one take a full hour. Looks like they've changed their system since the last time I did one of these makes it easier to do.
Cons: some of the topics can be hard to find information on which makes it difficult to reach the word count but I have never had one rejected even when I didn't hit a 1,000 words

Mine just turned seven last month. Outperforms the PC I bought in 2012 in every way. My first Mac was in 2004, and I gifted it to my niece in 2010 as her first laptop when I got this one. She didn't replace it for another two or three years. People can say what they want about Macs, but I've never had PCs last half as long as either of my Macs.

This is the first one I've ever had a problem and it is a late 2013. My one before it was a 2008 and before that I had an iBook.

I'm definitely disappointed that the screen died and, considering the cost, I really need them to last 5 year or so, but I've never gotten more than 2 years out of other laptops before they turn to shit.

i also have an old 06 cheese grater macpro which is approximately the size of an SUV.



all of the guts are updated and it's running the current OS and acts like a brand new computer. i don't use it as often as i should because i'm lazy and whenever i'm home i prefer my couch or bed instead of sitting upright in a chair like a normal person. and i can't function without my trackpad gestures, and i only have the mouse so i can't justify over $100 for a standalone trackpad when i have a mouse i just don't want to use it.
