    Computer peeps: Anyone know how to force the task manager to open on Windows 2008 R2? I'm remoted in and it is refusing to work with me.

    Start -> Run -> taskmgr usually does it. If not you've got some serious issues on that server.

    Nope, think it hates me. Tried to open cmd and got a "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)."

    They do have poutine. :emoji_thinking:

    That brings it up on my physical machine. Won't work on the RDC. TY tho. Gonna be a long day, I guess.

    Not really a fan of the ones for your index finger. I used to not be able to move my wrist by the end of the day..

    Now I have zero problems Took a whole 3 minutes to get use to. The M570 was my first but the new is silent so hubby can sleep in the wee hours of turkin.

    Have to get a new keyboard today I think. This one is convinced "the" has an A in it.

    Normally RDC have a dedicated button to push that command to the computer that you are connected to.

    Yeah, that's not showing either. I think something's wrong with the one I'm remoting into. It was fine yesterday and now it's all borked.

    My only other suggestion at that point is a reboot to see if it re-initializes whatever is broken.If you can.
    If it's not running through the command prompt theres a deeper problem. Box probably needs a reboot or some services tweaked and it's hard to really guess.

    if Ctrl + Shift + Esc brings it up on the local machine then you do have problems - It is suppossed to be the equivalent of CTRL-ALT-DEL on the local machine. YOu should be able to run Ctrl + Shift + Esc and either restart or select Task Manager. I would check policy for terminal services and see if it has been modified

    Wow, I actually got a MAD LAB using PC for the first time. Next question...if I want to capture 1.12s (at whatever random time they might drop later), do I want to select "GO HAM"? If so, do I want it have it be on green on blue "go ham"?

    "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142)" usually applies to a compatibility mode issue. Was the server an upgrade?
