To those who have had pets for a long time, how do you keep them off your laptop when it's on your lap? I'm worried either my puppy or cat will damage my surface pro since they both like to walk on the keyboard while I'm using it. It has also almost ended up in accidental submissions on mturk and homework

 

From a logical stand point unless you have the money to pay for college upfront, you probably shouldn't go to college.

Student loans are nearly as bad as getting a house when you can't buy it with cash.

If you aren't an art major and actually use the skills you get to get a job it is a net gain and home loans are totally worth it if the market isn't shit.

While that might work for some people, in general, that is horrible, horrible advice.

College is an investment if you are smart about it. If you go to a reasonably priced college like a state school, then it's worth it. I go to a state school and am majoring in something that is in high demand so it's going to easily pay off. Loans suck but there's no reason to not go just because of them. Private loans are pretty predatory but federal loans aren't bad at all.

 

I was paying 19K a year to go to duke for a degree that I would have only made about 22K a year starting salary so I quit with 15 credits left for graduation and went pro as a dj making a hella lot more. Boy it really made the fam and the gf happy

That's implying you're guaranteed employment right of school. If not you have a nice piece of paper worth <student loan debt>
Even though debt is a good thing in America, Not having any debt seems like the better idea.

But I am just a 23 year old person, who owes fuck all to no one.
