Only in that they both involve a lot of $ everywhere.

that is the plan. hopefully filled the pans at half full instead of full should do the trick. I'm just worried it's going to start smoking, I think I got it all out, but it's dark in there and there's crap from decades of people who don't bother to clean the oven, so who knows

 

If it's electric, you can put a bit of water in the bottom and turn the oven to 200 (not above, you don't want the water to boil off) and then let it run about 30 minutes and it'll help to scrape off the rest.

 

Yeah, was hoping they were just loading, but indeed they are gone. Hopefully just a test batch to make sure they are working. Like what pins do.

sadly it's gas. I think I'll break out the vacuum cleaner and just vacuum the bottom. I managed to create actual charcoal, so it's just the little pieces I didn't pick up with my hands at this point.

and oddly enough, even though the apartment smelled like smoke (and still does) the cake had no smoke flavor in it....I can't explain that one (we had to toss them because they didn't cook in a way that I would trust to eat the whole thing - 80% cooked, oven turned off, residually cooked the rest of the way over hours - it was weird) but what we tasted was good.

I had to scrub out our oven this weekend because their was questionable amounts of gunk from previous owners.

Also, now I need to go back and ready what happened.

 

There's a handful of ways I can think of, but none of them are user-friendly.

#1 - If you're using the userscript version instead of the MTS version, find the MP3 file you want, convert it to Base64, and paste it as the url for the sound.

#2 - If you're using the extension and don't want to actually decompile/recompile the CRX extension, change your hosts file so that soundjay.com refers to your own domain (127.0.0.1), and then run a local web server that serves whatever file you want.

Like I said, it's not user-friendly, but it's definitely in the realm of "technically possible to do if it irritates you enough".

Pros: Posts semi-often with similar type of surveys. Pay ranges from fair to good, with the best pays usually for those conducted by Gibson. The today was Frightened Filibuster which was just fair pay, but you could easily complete this 5 minutes faster than I did if that helps.
Cons: Several. The setup isn't good because it can be a lot of work in the HIT frame and if you have trouble submitting, it's all lost. Also, you can only complete one code name of any of their HITs but they don't track it for you, and they don't always put the code name in the HIT title so it's saved in your HitDB to check, leaving you to record or remember which ones you did.
