Matt insists people know his dog's full name is Franklin Whirlybird Barksdale. A whirlybird is a helicopter and he will tell you this at least twice a month, as if you always forget that fact. I call him Frank the Tank cause he weighs about as much as me and is the dumbest, but sweetest dog in the world. Not an insult at all, even if he does literally get stuck in the apartment because he can't figure out how to back up out of a corner or something and cries because the chair is in his way. You can also legit fake him out with a tennis ball and he will look for it for 10 minutes before realizing you might still have it.

Well, she was kinda a shitty boy owner, so it's a good thing I lured him out from the wild and domesticated him!

Been having issues with my knee for a while. No injury, just getting old I guess.

Good call there. Although the MRI was only like $165. Good insurance and have meet my deductible.

 

awww i love it. one of my cats now sounds like yours with dogs. she thinks my biggest dog (male lol) is her mama. she rubs up against him like cats usually do with their humans legs, it's the cutest. they're both long haired, and even though i'm sure they don't understand that sort of thing, i like to think that's the reason she bonded to him instead of my smaller dog.
my other black cats were chaplin, named after charlie chaplin, because he walked with a limp. and cloey just because i liked the name and i was young too. i fostered another black cat named lou after lieutenant dan because his legs were all fucked up from acid in someone's garage. and another black foster named prince... for prince.

 

What do you do in the occasional scuffles? I got my puppy in July and our cat about a month or so ago. He's 5 months old and she is 1.5 years old. Supposedly the house she came from had 2 dogs and she loved them but she gets so annoyed by the puppy. Anytime he gets near her she just hisses and is overall annoyed with him.

Here is one of the rare occasions that they sat near each other without scuffling

I looked up his markings after I brought him in, but it's on my other laptop that is still waiting for a new charger. But there was an image of a white cat with his "flame point" markings as you said that looked just like him. I forget the breed though.

I think Bearnie heard us talking about cats, as he's subtley hiding behind the monitor now.

 

Three dogs and a 6 month old here. There is zero silence in my house Well, if there IS silence, something bad is happening. In fact, my Coonhound dug a hole to fucking China today looking for a mole. There's no doubt in my mind that my Labrador helped while my Australian Shepherd stood guard at the door to make sure I wasn't coming to check up on them. I was only gone for an hour.

I don't know if I'll be that person who dresses up pets. I also didn't think I'd be adopting a stray cat, either. We'll see what happens.
