    If people just did C-sats they can make an easy 15 a day for the last month. I'm not being negative towards you, I'm simply pointing out that people over say that we over exaggerate our PE.

    Reddit's insanely dead and that's it's biggest problem. If you filtered out "it's slow today," other miscellaneous complaints, and newcomers asking when their accounts are going to be approved there is almost no content.

    Truth be told, I took forever to join this forum because every time I looked at /r/mturk, it looked like such a horrible, mean, and unhelpful place... I assumed any other forum would be similar, and I assumed Reddit was the the original and therefore the best. After seeing a ton of HITs on HN coming form here, I started paying more attention to what sort of things were being said and finally decided to sign up. Best turking choice I've ever made!

    Probably because reddit has a fairly large number of newbies/people that don't do a ton of research and if you Google "mturk scripts" 99% of all the links that come up on the first page are guides that are 3+ years old, and therefore list TM, Scraper, etc. Note that one of the above even lists TM as new. The mturk world moves fast Google's SEO does not. Add to the fact that best practices guides get built (like the ones on mturk grind, MTC, Turkernation, etc.—TH doesn't have one) and then no one wants to go about updating it when things change (see also: how long it took the JL wiki to get updated), and so old info goes up and stays up. :dunno: You have to hunt for the good scripts on places where there are more long-term turkers able to answer questions, e.g. forums, but forums are kinda a weird remnant of the late 2000s/early 2010s that most people don't even think about going to.

    Hence me only joining one because TH had good design :p I joke, but mtc's mid 2000s layout legitimately scared me away from it :dunno:

    tl;dr, finding good updated info about mturk is hard because what you need is a guide but guides get old too fast.

    I'm 30. I run a 50 phone ad farm. I make enough to pay for my most of my bills (Rent, phone, internet, power) and Mturk is my "extra." Passive earnings, no matter how little are better than 0.

    If I'm diligent on the baby SATS, it's like $25-$30 a day. I've hit reddit numbers solely on SATS on many a day.

    I think I might be the laziest turker here and I usually manage to scrape 200+ a week from being the laziest little shit in the world don't understand the mturk reddit, it doesn't even compute for me.

    I had the same progression as everyone else.

    /r/beermoney --> /r/hwtf --> $10/day unless netmsi posted --> set up an rss feed notification system for hwtf --> realize hitnotifier was a thing already --> didn't know pandaing was a thing --> lurked mtc, didn't feel like i fit there --> lurked mtg, thought jqkill was nice --> $$$$ --> spoonfed chris quals via pm because he was totally undervalued at mtg and deserved attention --> user #2 at TH
