You are 2scared to do barcodes but not 2scared to do 8 tabs of rekogs? or average a quarter of a second for each pin you evaluate?

What difference am I missing here?

 

barcodes getting your entire account banned would be the standout difference to me.

 

When people scam them, that will happen. I'm willing to bet no one has been banned for doing them right.

Basically, anywhere from 70-90% of the barcodes you search for are not found. Also, as far as I can tell, everything goes to AA with them. That makes them ripe for people just to mark all of them as not found. If I had to guess, I'd say people probably got away with this for awhile, and then being an Amazon requester, they struck back with merciless fury.

Remember, when people get their accounts banned, what they tell us on the forum and what they actually did can be two different things. I'm sure there are some exceptions, but as long as you are an honest worker providing honest work, you shouldn't have any problems. Having said that, I have no doubt some of the nightmares we have heard about are true as well, but hey, whatcha gonna do when the Amazon Reaper comes for you?

yeah, i can see how it works both ways. the rejections I do have are actually 100% shady and illegitimate (marking a Transcribe This as non english, in the exact way they instruct you to, because the entire file was in spanish and having it auto rejected), and then the rejections I deserve (auto subbing a survey yesterday, auto subbing a ted lab, auto submitting about five other things by accident in my career) I never get. Hard to tell with anything on MTurk.
