I want to go back to the days when a phone was a phone and I could make a call without getting dropped. The small antennas and low power may work fine when in a city and there is a tower every few blocks. Not so well here in a rural area where the nearest tower is 7+ miles away.

One day they'll just make the damn phones out of high quality rubber so no case is needed lol. I could care less about them being metal and shiny and blah blah blah. As an aside though Otterbox is an awesome company. They replaced $80 worth of cases with a less than 5 min phone call.

 

This and bad internet is the reason for not living in the boonies.

 

Unfortunately, the people who live in big, dense cities tend to be the ones that work in technology, so they're oblivious to the needs of rural people. It's the same with technology as it is with their political views. They simply don't understand why you need a gun to protect yourself when the nearest police officer is so far away that your girlfriend could finish picking an outfit and getting her makeup done before he showed up.

If it weren't for funding for military technology, there'd be nearly no technology at all for people who live in remote areas.
We wouldn't have GPS, satellite phones, satellite internet, etc.

 

I wouldn't trade our farm for anything, but yea internet and other things like that suck.
