It completely imploded my mind. I was actually jumping up and down over how giant the trees were and tje fact some were 2000+ years old.

Trail of 100 Giants . We are going to hit up Kings Canyon on our way to Yosemite (we were in Sequioa Nat. Park but not that far out), I demand to see General Sherman. It was a bucket list moment for me to see giant sequioas and it blew my tiny mind the entire time.

 

The Sierras rock. <3

 

Theres a place up near Kings canyon called Mineral Springs. You drive to the end of a pretty long road and you come out in this gorgeous campground in a glacial meadow. Truly spectacular.

Indeed! It was totally mind blowing for me, cause I know how big the trees are on paper, but seeing it was a whole different thing. The fact it was a Friday and misty meant it was empty AF too, so we were one of the few people in the park. We drove around all day/hiked a lot, and it was amazing. I hiked to the end of this giant tree path with a river and I just sat down, totally mind blown. Later, we met a group of lesbian fly fishers at a small saloon who bought me drinks, it was pretty rad.

 

The Redwood & Sequoia Nat'l Parks are my Mecca. One day I will make it to see these glorious trees in person.

 

It 100% blew my avian mind, definitely go when you have the chance.
