Only mildly related but the folks on the neighboring farm are non-stop with the shooty shoots and fireworks and blowing up anything they can get th their hands on, they could murder someone and we wouldn't notice haha. A company bought out a bunch of the farms to build a huge housing development across the street from us and they FREAK out about it. If you move this far out of town in the South you just can't be shocked by the pew pews at all hours.

Not just the south, those of us up here in the north also like to go pew pew pew. We built a dedicated range on the land we hunt with a berm and permanent shooting benches and target stands with steel targets.

I think the MSM/24 hour "news" has a monopoly on saturating you with negative stuff. With internet/social media, you basically have to go looking for it, but with MSM you have to TRY to get away from it.

Haha, I feel ya, my sister has those issues upstate NY, it's just that you can't live in the deep south in a rural-ish area and be shocked by rednecks. These guys are your every stereotype of a hillbilly. It's not the pew pewing that's a problem, we have targets all over the place on the farm, we just aren't blowing shit up at 3am and making every dog in a mile radius start to howl. And then of course the coyotes are nutso.
