LOLL when my friend moved in with us last year, we bought a huge dry erase calendar for the kitchen and everyone had their own color, so if nothing else, you had some idea where someone was gonna be every day, who was unavailable, when the cat went to the vet, etc.

For the day to day, sometimes the old tried-and-true method really is the best. Now if I could just find my other notebook. FML... Google where's my notebook?

Me and Airwrecka (the gf) both have synced our google calendars, and I honestly don't really care where the other two are at most times lol. I'm just having a hard time keeping track of shit I need to get done/should be doing. A lot of things these days are getting filed in my brain as (later, when I have time)

    and later I'm like

Well, 4 of the other people in this house are mine, and are insanely busy (I'm not horribly busy for myself, just for them, generally). I only kept track of Em (the friend) to know when she was gonna be around for dinner, some idea where she was in case her mom thought she was dead, and sometimes when to hide when I didn't feel like dealing with her crap. :)

    LOL.

Def use it, its great for anything more than a week out IMO. It'll ding you at any interval you want for any task, so if you need to take your dog in for a vet visit every 6mo/1yr, you can set that task, have it ding you a week before visit due date and you never have to worry about it again.

I LOVE it for stuff like that. Anything that occurs multiple times a month/year, is always the same task, and is something I would likely forget to do without a periodic ding on my phone (..is that dryer vent clean? oh, must be Regularly told me to prevent my house from burning down last week and I ticked it as done). Its logs all that stuff, which I like. Its one thing for the app to tell you "hey, this task is due next week dude, get on it" - being able to see that I did it makes a world of difference for me. None of the normal calendar/task apps had that last I checked on them :dunno:

..But trying to keep a grocery list on it? Nope nope nope nope :emoji_sweat_smile:

Thanks, dude. I need this. I didn't know there's a bunch of shit I have to do now. Like I have to mail the tax bill in February to the bank, but if I don't get it by x date, I have to go to the county office and obtain it. And then school taxes are in June. And then house maintenance shit, like a furnace checkup before winter.

    :flail:

On top of all the other shit I gotta do with managing 3 people's schedules. I need all the apps.

Oh man, I had to turn on the heater for the first time this season today, and house smells like toasted crazy on toast. And it reminds me that I need to clean out the dryer vents, which I really don't wanna do, so, um... come over will ya?

I think you've seen the stacks of post its and notepads I perpetually have on my desk.

I try to use my phone for that stuff but it's never as satisfying as physically writing down a list.

Oh no, me too. I have a small moleskine planner that has the week on the left-hand side and an empty note page on the right, so that's my weekly and general to-do lists. Then I have a similar one with a monthly calendar on one side and notes on the other which is a log of stuff for my jobs (office, caretaking, and PEs). And I have little pads of paper and post-its for scribbling anything and everything down.

Digitally, my Apple notes hold freaking EVERYTHING I need to save anywhere at any time (including saving things I wrote in those pads of paper above). I'm a note hoarder, but it's well organized. I have scripts saved from jq that I can find in a second flat if I need to, lol. And Google calendar for my daily schedule with reminder alerts (I hardly have any alerts on for anything because I hate them, but calendars are a must). Organization is my thang.

Anytime bb. /r/homeimprovement actually has some fantastic home maintenance tasks lists on it. I imported most of them into Regularly and will never look back.

Home & car, home & car. Everything maintenance about those two go into it. Tag them as such.

When I sold my last car I had a nice neat log of all the maintenance done on it for the duration I owned it. Hngggggg

I sure hope you don't. Confusing dryer vent w/ lint trap?

Yeah I was just looking something to help me with further out stuff. I use keep for lists and google calendar for sharing my work/school schedule with bae. I'll give it a try, because as it is now I'm going

"Well the cat is out of food which I forgot order on amazon. Here you go kitty, have some dog stuff"
    and
"Oh my car registration was due last week. Better buy that now!"
    and
"I was supposed to return this book 6 months from when I got it. Whoops."

Every time I make a grocery list in my phone, I forget something. I like to make a written list (usually by aisle/section) and cross things off as I get them. Someone can pry my notebook from my cold, dead claws.

Yes, yes I am. And now I realize I've been calling it a dryer vent for my entire life.

I don't know who to blame for this, likely my father.

    Thanks Dad!
