It's really, really awesome. This job fell into my lap, I was a recruiter at a temp agency who they transitioned into an HR Manager. I was in charge of like 150 people making $13/hour while I only made $12/hour myself and no vacation time or benefits after 3 years with the same company. Took a chance and leaped over to these guys. I'm salaried without ever having to work a minute over 40 hours a week (including hour lunches), get to spend more time turking than anything, paid vacation and every bank holiday, free healthcare, $250/month contributions to a retirement plan regardless of my own contributions, and get my own office. There is absolutely 0 stress at my job. They're really nice and even when I make mistakes they work with me to find out why instead of getting pissed. They pay me really well too. I never, ever, ever dreamed I'd have this good of a job, I only have my high school diploma. They haven't done it yet so I can't say for sure but they are supposedly going to pay for some schooling for me; after 2 years I'm not holding my breath but if they don't they still do a lot. I literally love them like family.

If it wasn't for my 30 dollars in webtesting and 3-4 dollars at prolific I would say same. I only made 16 here so far.

 

I am happy for you, but can't help feel some jealousy. I mean, among other things I've got a college degree and right now can't even get a crappy minimum wage job. (Granted, that's partly because of some mistakes I've made) but even the past straight out of college, I could only a minimum wage hotel job working the midnight shift.

(sighs heavily)

 

Just curious (and bugger off is a fine response) but what do you do? I imagine your work ethic must be stellar, no one in their right mind would put me in charge of 150 human beings
