Damn! You're right:emoji_confused:. I hope they come back soon it's been awhile since they've been up. The segment classification HITs also pay pretty well.

    Not true.

I know at least 50% of what winning is, like how not to do it.

JVM was one of the more important things in software dev when it came out, but it's become stagnant like most other shit from Oracle. Just needs some proper attention.

    Correct-o.

They actually added Kotlin to Android's list of "official languages" recently too, for what it's worth.

A lot of programmers hate Java because it forces them to really think out the organization of their code, define what the code is meant to do, and put together some good object-oriented designs.

It's a frustrating language for people who just want to hack some crap together.
In that sense, Java and JavaScript are almost polar opposites.

Oh no, my hate comes ENTIRELY from the Java side. I liked microsoft's take on it (C#...basically) way more than Java. The amount of scaffolding one needs to build to get things done always got me. It's been a while since I've coded in it though. My professors in college were in love with it when I really wanted to use anything but Java ;)

I think that's why I always kinda liked Java. Too many people want to be legacy programmers and not engineers.
