    The IRS is severely under funded and heavily relies on people self reporting the correct amounts.

    Yeah definitely not, still 6 questions per HIT. Not even with the script and triple-tabbing. :nono: It's going up past 4k now... interesting part is that these quals are earned, so they have a smaller worker pool, but it's international. Can't wait to see where this goes.

    I'm going to email him asking why they dropped the pay and then go to bed.. perhaps if enough of us email him saying we refuse to do the work until the pay goes back to at least what it used to be.

    Isn't there a stat that for every $1 the gov invests in the IRS they output $2? They barely get enough money to function though currently :(

    He is here @clickhappier but go give the thread a read though.

    They used to drop 10k batches but it has been since late summer maybe Sept since I had seen a decent batch from them

    I wonder though. If our employers(contractors?) are sending us a form with our earnings, and then sending the same form to the IRS, it would seem the IRS would have that information to check to see if it aligns

    Maybe Amazon does rely on us self reporting and doesn't report our earnings to the IRS, so maybe they don't have a complete picture on what we earn?

    I guess that was my impression in the past, that they did not have a complete picture of our earnings and it was up to us to 'be honest'. Now it's looking more that no, they do have info on our earnings(for sure with this other 'requester' they do have info). For example, one poster said that with the 1099 there's like one form that goes to three people, one for the employer, one for the employee, one for the IRS?

    (I guess the issue is if Amazon reports our income or not, like other employers and like what this other online company seems to do)

    While it would be interesting to know, I don't think it really matters. Just pay the taxes that you owe.
