11/03 - Japan Culture Day, Friday!

I like the Walking Dead but I’m burnt out on it to the point where I didn’t finish the last season prior to the new one. I’ll pick it up again probably when the current entire season has aired so I can binge it, but it seems like they’re just recycling the same story line season after season with new but similar characters in new but familiar situations.

Right now I’m enjoying the Fear series on season 1 at least because it’s more realistic to me of how people would actually react to the whole zombie apocalypse scenario. Then again, I just rewatched season 1 of the actual WD and loved that and got bored after season 2 so maybe I’ll get bored of this one just as quick.

 

Yeah the mTurk search is too slow to catch anything that people have set up on a Panda Crazy trickle grabber (no matter how frequently OW is set), so it's not like Overwatch needs to be just constantly on meth.

 

I also have OW set to 100 hits instead of the default 50 so that helps some.

 

It is, which is why you should learn how to use the include list to function as an OW. Or accept that your setup is going to be a little inefficient, which is OK as long as you're cool with it. The workaround to the inefficient OW+whatever setup is to make sure OW is loading a very large page (100 results, preferably) if its running at a large interval cycle so you reduce the likelihood of it missing something.

I'll be benching OW once we lose our www PREs. I just hope that HF is updated sufficiently before then.

Wife just called, battery light came on while was driving home and now she is pulled over on the interstate with no idea what to do. Changing battery requires going to a dealership because of them hiding it requiring the tire to be taken off and some more stuff... and its the weekend so none will be open tomorrow.... and don't know what to do to get her and the car home... FML

 

Almost every auto-insurance policy nowadays includes roadside assistance, try calling your car insurance company. Even if you didn't opt into it for the extra $1/mo they may be willing to help honestly.

 

I just assumed that most people have AAA but I guess I was wrong.

 

How do you set up OW to 100 hits?

Geico goes to an automated voicemail saying call during normal business hours. Was supposed to have something through the dealership but that turns out that its just insurence to reimburse for roadside... after a $400 deductible of course

 

Also, if you have a legitimate credit card from pretty much any major vendor they almost always offer roadside assistance as well.

Seriously, like, everyone will come jump you off on the side of the road if you ask nicely lol.

 

I think I may be too..even though I have found I like it better than using HF.
