I may not know a ton about computery things, but I know enough to have hooked my laptop up to the new internet. Lol.

I think metaphorically in the situation of the first couple of lines that "dropping bombs in cups of coffee" is referring to them breaking up over a cup of coffee. So the dropping of bombs is the information that they were over.

 

People think I put a lot of effort in, but I really just have a closet full of dresses and neutral cardigans, so I can just stick my arm in the closet and grab something.

Extra points if the dress has pockets.

Then I strap on some keds and go.

Yeah guys, I totally put effort into this dress. I totally didn't just grab the first dress that was clean.

You have no idea how many ridiculous totally reasonable problems I have to solve for my girlfriend.

mTurk-related transaction:

Context: My "droppable" script that lets you drop HITs in PC has a semitransparent area that serves as the drop-box for HITs, and is color-coded to let you know whether you're on WWW or Worker. Red ("BAD") is WWW. Green ("GOOD") is Worker.

Sometimes she'll offer me a sudden burst of insight in a problem I'm trying to solve, and other times I wonder how she makes it through a given day without killing herself somehow.

It's kinda like the relationship between these two:

 

The things I like to think and talk about tend to be too deep for 99.9% of people I meet.
Alcohol helps me bring my thinking down to their level.

 

That just sounds like a terrible way to spend 5.5 hours especially if you get somebody that's overly monotone doing the interview

 

One more note before I run off to freak out over this incredible slowness:

@NBadger I love your new avatar! For two reasons, though.

1. It is adorable and also funny.
2. When it pops up in my alerts notifications, I think it is the old-school Chuck-E-Cheese logo. Every time.

 

I can think of worse ways of getting paid $150.
