11/08 - Woot Woot Wednesday!

That doesn't make me feel better, I'm literally logged in to mTurk M-F from 9am to usually 1am

 

I don't even know why I go to class anymore. I don't listen to the instructor I just come here to catch up/quality post

Yeah my turking is passive searching and jumping on the fire hits instead of working super hard to the point that I hate myself lol.

I will however go ham if something like a massive rekog batch drops.

About to return in a minute. My son's in bed so I want to spend some time with the wife before I go to work.

 

7:30am CST till the job is done, usually 6pm or so but as late as 2 am. Usually pretty slow if I start before 7.

To be fair though, this week I've been looking into additional sources of online income so while I've been lazy-ish on mTurk I'm hoping it pays off. I made $102 so far this week on new ventures and hopefully that just keeps going up. Looking into doing an affiliates gig and making candles with my grams. My goal is to just make at least as much money online as I do in my real job monthly. If I'm going by post-tax, I'm 64% of the way there in 8 months.

Just to reiterate #2 - When you read specs, make sure to pay attention to sensor, it'll be your bff.
and #3 - I fussed around with photography on a classic Canon AE-1 as a kid/teen because my dad swore by Canon when he shot somewhat professionally. When I went to buy my first DSLR (like 500 years ago), I had it in my head I'd stick with Canon. I can't really explain it because I didn't have any specific complaint, but none of the Canons "felt" right. I grabbed the Nikon D5000 and I was sold right when I grabbed it. I probably read specs, reviews, and saw product photos for weeks, but nothing will sell a camera quicker than actually holding it.

Not so much but you or @ChrisTurk linked me your post here, it's definitely going to be the next thing I look into! My biggest problem right now is I'm starting to run out of time more than sources. It's a great problem to have though, especially because this is the first time in my life I can actually say I really enjoy working. Obviously not the level of "I would do this for free" enjoyment, but it's been really exciting for me finding income sources that aren't traditional jobs. Never thought I'd make this much money without a degree. Suck it, mom.
