11/12 - The Siege of Sunday!

I'm sure you can tell by my posts, but I'm amused sometimes by people's responses to brutal honesty.

I say a lot of probably-true things that might offend people, but on the flipside, people know when I pay them a compliment or whatever that I really mean it and that I'm not just blowing smoke up their asses or "just being polite".

Dealing mostly with high-testosterone dudes as my accomplices IRL (many of whom lift) means we don't really hold secrets. No guessing games trying to figure out whether Sally and Sue really think you're nice or not. We're too unrefined for that. Everything is meant at face value.

Whatever guys, I did what I can only call a power flail without falling over today and I feel pretty rad about that. I didn't stop so much as spastically slow down repeatedly, but I'm calling that a win.

sure, but i've been told the same (irl, at least). my boss actually compared me to the chief in one flew over the cuckoo's nest because, "you don't say a lot, so when you do people know to listen."

it's impossible for me to fake sincerity, and i've been told on multiple occasions by people who know me (even barely) that they can tell in my voice when i don't like someone else or that i'm unhappy. so i end up being quiet unless i really have something to say.

 

This is me a lot.

But ONLY for the sake of the GF.

For my own sake, I don't care what people think about me. It's not my job to make people right. Lol.
