    maybe because they're kind of anthropomorphic. i read something about how there's a fear anthropomorphic things because your brain recognizes the human qualities in it but recognizes it's so inhuman, that you just kind of go "lkajdsflkjadlkfj no" (the same reason scary movies work). i get really weirded out about primates for the same reason. i wouldn't say punchy, but they make me uncomfortable. they're fascinating, and i'll watch them for hours, but very uncomfortably.

    your friend has the complete opposite of chris's girlfriend's response to sloths, though:
