01/22 - Showdown Sunday!

I live in Puerto Rico. Here we have the Puerto Rico Symphony Orchestra and they are very good. I've seen some streams and they have a very good ensemble. They make theme shows which are pretty popular (Star wars, video games, movie scores). I might go to one on the near future.

I love doing those concerts, and I think it's even better for the general public to get interested in "classical music". One trend that is building and I hope doesn't stop is using the orchestra to do the soundtrack for movies, live. I have some friends who have done Lord of The Rings, Star Wars, Psycho, Jaws, and others. I haven't been to a performance but I know even the orchestra gets excited to do those, despite how much work they are.

Just had to share this music with ya'll.

 

My son plays oboe and piano. Loved going to all his concerts and competitions when he was in high school. Really miss it now that he's not here, but happy he still plays oboe with orchestras and wind ensembles in the Bay area.
