11/18 - Salient Saturday!

Oh, wow, there's like 400k Scoutits to do! Be still my heart...

 

A friend of mine's grandmother was put in a nursing home, so we squatted in her house rent-free for 3 years or so. She had like 20 bottles of this stuff in the cabinet. Holy shit is all I have to say.

 

We are so classy.

I was an RA, so I never partied in dorms. My boyfriend's townhouse on the other hand, tore it up there. We made a custom beer pong table with a clemson paw of plexiglas with beer caps underneath it as decor. Yeah, classy AF, I know, you don't even have to tell me twice. My theater friends made a beer pong table that was a golf course with a functional lazy river you could wash the balls in and use to transport balls across the table. Rad AF.

 

My college experience was strange. I lived in a fraternity for a while. I learned a lot.

 

Yeah, that sounds pretty bad. Like just having a slice would be enough. I usually just leave the jar and spoon on the bar and people will grab one. They don't actually taste that good.

 

They're conveniently asleep right now, conserving their energy for when I dare power down for the night. Then the stabbing starts.

 

One of my very redneck friends gave us a jar of some legit, backwood moonshine. I called it poison after a shot, but Matt mocked me that I was a baby, so I knocked back another. After that horrid night, we passed it off to another couple who claimed we were just meowwy drinkers, and they passed it off to another couple after one night of regret too. I like to think it's still just floating around somewhere, wrecking lives one shot at a time.

That was up there with the 4 Loko incident in terms of times I wish I had said, "No thanks guys, this seems like a dumb shit idea!"

You have a newborn, which is a completely valid reason, and will be your completely valid reason for years.

 

I've had a couple jars of that crap. It's so nasty. Corn and anise does not belong in alcohol. I used to have a jar that I kept around just to show off, but I gave it to some college kids so they could burn a hole in their guts.

Clearly that shit leads to inbreeding.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention that I got it from some border patrol agents that I knew who got it from some ATF guys.

I once welded a still with some nerd friends, and we made a very pleasing apple raspberry moonshine, it was nothing like the hell I experienced that night though.

I think it was just full on poison in a jar, and yup, leads to cousin love or something.

There's a fine line between a blousy bird and an alcoholic, I think legit moonshine is that line.

Bearnie and Skeeter don't even let me sleep when I want to, I shudder to think what a child would impose on my sleep cycle.

The Boy has his sleep schedule flipped (in fact, he JUST woke up for the day), and that's bad enough. But him being up has Parker off kilter, so she's running in my room, using my ass for a springboard to the windowsill, etc., at all hours once I'm finally asleep.
