Absolutely! The first year my dad and I lived in this house, we crammed in his antique aluminum tree and it worked out fine. I rearranged the living room after he died since I didn't have his medical stuff around anymore, and I stupidly didn't leave myself an option for putting it up again. I can deal treeless as long as I have my little decorations, but having a tree for the kiddo(s) is a no brainer, you just have to.

We've had an artificial tree since we moved up here, and this year I've decided NO MORE! And in addition to the new tree, I want to have it all fancified instead of the usual mish mash on our fake tree. Now I love that mish mash. But I think that'll go into the office/library this year (now THAT is fancy, TWO trees!) and I'm gonna do the white and silver thing in the living room. Which means tomorrow we go spend MORE MONEY on inexpensive yet pretty ornaments. And I think the kids and I will make some too. They usually do with great grandma this weekend but they didn't make it down here this year. Maybe cornstarch clay, and vellum, and maybe some aluminum embossed ornaments.

 

I looooovee aluminum trees.

 

I like trees too, fellow humans.

 

The best part lf Thanksgiving left overs - no cooking and 1 dish

 

This is my very human reaction to trees. Rejoice my people.
