so my cricut is going to be here on friday....it's the only thing missing from starting my business....I like I should go clean the office/make a logo/sign up on etsy/make a business plan/get an email address/panic/

I get guilted too from Grey's Anatomy. I just haven't signed up after all the horror stories of people having the plug pulled on them

Be an organ donor! What good are they to you when your dead?

My mom had the best 6 weeks of her life while she had a working pancreas transplant from an organ donor (it failed because the drs were idiots and cut her small intestine while they were installing it and didn't notice). We went to red lobster for endless shrimp and she got to each as much as she wanted and didn't have to test or do math or give a shot or anything. She was in heaven!

I feel pretty confident that my mother would never let them pull the plug unless it was 110% hopeless (and maybe not even then), because me being on life support would get her pity for a lot longer than me being dead, and her entire life revolves around making people feel bad for her

 

My organs are mostly useless (with a couple exceptions) but I'm being donated to science Grinches.

Just have a living will that explains in detail the circumstances under which you're OK with removing life support. Mine isn't n writing yet, I trust my husband to follow my wishes. I give myself a week in a non responsive state and if there has been no improvement, they're free to pull.

 

And this is why I have advanced directives and a medical power of attorney who is not one of my bonkers family members.
