Also, FWIW, I'm all for using community/social pressure to improve the platform/worker conditions. But.. Not sure I see any indication that was the motivation here given the company was very publicly active in our community, so a quick "hey dudes, throw some quals on there" would have been sufficient to completely negate this issue to begin with.

Mashable is a clickbait site that uses the same fear tactic to gain views that mainstream news companies do:

Dude I wanna know how these companies even found this shit. That Tweet isn't even directed at anyone (curiously, even Expensify, who you'd think she'd want to see it).. Its just tossed out into the ether and has news stories written about it?

I disagree with this. If the company wanted confidentiality it should have been in the HIT (like A9s old warning about sharing/saving pictures)
They didn't redact or protect the names of their employees and we all know how some of our fellow turkers like to dox people. Them pulling work from mturk just seems like an optics thing that was decided without any other consideration
