Yep I think the consensus is that i'm just a chicken. Like i'd just run an extension or something but this room literally only has one outlet in it.
And one of those 3 things is the printer so it isn't even on unless i'm using it :emoji_joy:

Monitors don't use that much power so it isn't a big deal. Just make sure you get one that is rated for enough power.

Is there much of a power difference if it's a tv vs. an actual "monitor"?

If it is a laser printer... that should be the only device on that outlet lol. Or at least the only high powered device.

Those fuckers use a ton of power lol

If it is a smart TV it will basically have a tiny computer inside of it so yeah. Not a huge difference however.

A standard circuit is rated for 15A, which comes to 1800W with 120V US AC power.

A monitor only uses something like 20-60W on average.

One of these will help you get a sense of how much power things are using: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RGF29Q/?tag=thtv02-20

What you need to be wary of is stacking power strips into power strips into power strips etc., because the increasing electrical impedance added between each layer can cause problems. But generally, as long as you're using brand-name well-built stuff and don't go absolutely insane with your loads (mini fridges, AC, microwaves, etc.), it's OK to do a single layer of power strip stacking.

It didn't show the hourly, but for some reason it's fixed. I went to worker.mturk hit daily, it took me to the same exact URL but worked this time. No idea what was wrong with it.

Note it was in past tense. The wiring in my office was bad when we moved in so we plugged everything into one outlet in the living room. Nobody died. But hubby fixed office outlets so yay! And I have smoke alarms and fire extinguishers already because I am a responsible home owner.

This is also why UPSs tell you to not plug power strips into them.

lol Laser jet are cheaper in the long run. That is why nearly every company uses them. Ink jets are a waste of money.

You could likely get a laser printer for the cost of your ink refill. I would just buy one when you are about to run out of ink.

Toner also doesn't dry out so that is nice.
