50mbps is the bare minimum that I would want for a modern internet connection per a person so 100mbps prob felt pretty fast.

 

You ever listen to Henry Rollins poem or speech called "The Iron" Love how he got into weight lifting his teacher called him a skinny *** and said go buy those sand weights at sears don't look in a mirror for 3 months and do every compound lift I tell you. Really motivating considering hes known for his good physique

 

It does. Where we lived several years ago only got up to like 30 or something so that's what we had. When we moved into this house, the highest offered was 6 and AT&T is the only thing we can get out here (other than satellite, no fucking thanks). So we were like "ehh, should be fine." Soooo wrong. Having 6 was awful. It was so bad that we even used a hotspot and unlimited verizon data for a while instead of our at&t service.

I used around 1tb of data over my tmobile connection per a month while I was in my dorms that gave everyone 5mbps. I'm sorry if I'm the reason that unlimited data got killed off for the most part but it was necessary.

 

This whole last year, tooling around in the RV, I've been in towns where the fastest public Internet available was like 0.5Mbps lmao.

I used to live in an area of , for 2 years where the fastest speed available was 5Mbps due to some city code dealio. It was miserable having to tell people that they have to wait to watch YouTube because I'm uploading files to a client.

The 20Mbps you get from cell data in areas with good service these days is perfectly fine for work though. Only problem is that you run out of 4G bandwidth pretty fast that way.

A weird thing has been happening when I try to access the Mturkcrowd forum.

It's not a big deal. I only browse it for a couple of hours a day, and I haven't created an account there.

When i put the url in my address bar, I just get an error message. I've looked at this many times, so I know I am entering it right.

However, when I access the site through a search engine, I get there just fine.

This is bewildering.

 

I've seen snippets of it in the quintessential motivational quotes that you see pasted around almost every serious Facebook group dedicated to lifting, but I haven't actually read the whole thing. I'll go check it out.

 

This was several years ago and we managed to snag an unlimited plan from Verizon that didn't have a 4G data cap lol. There was a glitch of some sort when one of the iPhones were released (6? 6s? Can't remember) and people were able to get unlimited data plans, even though it wasn't a plan you could normally get. People were buying so many iphones and then turning around and selling the phones full price and selling the unlimited data accounts for hundreds of dollars. Eventually Verizon came out and said "After this date, you will no longer be able to transfer liability on these accounts" blah blah blah so people were scrambling to get rid of the accounts. We ended up getting ours for free from a guy who was trying to sell hundreds of them.
