What the actual heck kind of responsible parent reads the things their child is reading?

 

Idk I still laugh at 69 jokes I have no idea why people come here for my awesome parenting advice.

I have had shows where I fell behind, and rather than blow through them and be stuck waiting with everyone else, I waited until the new season was about to start, and then I get 2 seasons for the price of 1.

Clearly rules should bend to my preferences, so that's the rule.

She just likes Minecraft, Roblox, and anything that has to do with animals, but especially horses (and Spirit in particular). Doubt she gives 2 shits about time machines.

 

What? This makes no sense..

I do the thing where I wont watch an entire season.. but.. starting at the beginning of the next season just gets you 1 episode.. not 2 full seasons.. unless you watch TV like you browse the forum, consistently 2-3 years behind so you're watching like Season 4 on catchup, Season 6 live, and eventually you'll get to Season 5 but only as Season 7 starts leading to awkward water cooler moments where you blurt out "OH MY GOD DID YOU GUYS SEE THE POLAR BEAR ON THE FKING ISLAND WITH THE SMOKE MONSTER? CRAZY, RIGHT?" while everyone is talking about Thor Ragnarok.

I forgot to watch Taboo as well. I hear it was really good and it has Tom Hardy

Once a show hits Netflix or Prime or Hulu, it's pretty much fair game. The rest of can't walk around on eggshells for eight months because you can't discuss Mr Robot fan theories.

I solve the problem of spoilers quite handily by never watching TV shows until 5+ years after it's stopped airing. It's worked fine so far.

 

So next year you'll finally get to the last season of Breaking Bad?

 

There's the HITs Log, sure, but sometimes there are discussions going on that aren't explicitly turk related that I still find interesting and/or useful that I don't have to be a part of other than as an observer. I just think using the ignore list is at lest being proactive about something bothering you. It's still solving a problem, you know? Better than whining about posts you don't like openly in the forum (which I have been very guilty of in the past).

 

Harry Potter is by far my favorite series of all time. Growing up I would constantly read the books and rewatch the movies. Here's a tattoo from the series that I got on my 18th birthday.
