When you live on the west coast, but most of the US population is more eastern, you start to offset your sleep schedule if you want to engage in scheduled business. Like if you want to show up for work that starts at 6am eastern, you have to be awake at 3am pacific.

Here on the west coast, we wake up to football at 10am on Sundays, too.

We basically had race riots when I was growing up. Hispanics and blacks don't get along at all here. Most the time whites weren't a apart of it, but there was a huge fight once at my high school when it was whites and blacks against the hispanics. I've never seen so many cops in one place in my life. I wasn't apart of it personally, so I just watched some of it, but when all the cop cars started pulling up, I grabbed some of my friends and just went to smoke out in the mountains. They ended up arresting 60+ kids and there was supposedly over 200 involved in the fights. The school got shutdown for a week. Most crazy thing I've ever seen.

9/11 happened like a week or two later and everyone just forgot about it.

 

Not us yanks in Oregon and above. We sleepy as shit.
