12/10 - Simple Sunday!

I really like the look of the K70, I wish it was cheaper tho. For a mouse I've got the Razer Naga chroma and love adjusting the lights on it.

 

They're just a particular type of mechanical switch. IMO they're the best all-around switch. But I have Reds on this computer because it's more of a gaming-centric computer, and Reds are just ever-so-slightly better for a lot of the games I play.

 

There are sales for corsair's stuff all the time. Just obviously not right now

The red silent ones I have on mine are just reds with o rings on them and I got them because I live my brother still and wanted something that wasn't as loud lol

 

It may be a few months before I end up pulling the trigger and upgrading since I've got bills and Christmas gifts to focus on first so I'll have to keep an eye out for that.

 

I got my keyboard for like $80 or something like that. I think that it may have been an 'open box' from besetbuy but shrug.

 

That's probably about as cheap as you can get in a brand new, name-brand board with good build quality and name-brand switches.

If you're willing to sacrifice any of those attributes (newness, name brand, build quality, switch brand) or keep your eyes peeled for sales until they go red, you can probably shave off $10-$20.

 

That's about the price I was shooting for, I do have a friend that works at best buy so I'll have to see if he can keep an eye out for that.

 

As much as I hate bestbuy they do have good sales on the corsair keyboards and that fucking 8TB HDD all the time lol

 

I had Clears for CSGO and loved them for that, but they were punishing for almost anything else (they were basically like heavier Browns). When I got that little 2-key Osu board with Reds, that's when I knew that Reds were what I needed for most gaming, and that I could get used to them for typing.

 

Why do you hate bestbuy?
I just don't like their 15 day return policy unless you spend tons of money there each year and their geeksquad is a joke. Otherwise, I've had good experiences there.

 

They are notoriously bad at shipping stuff online and losing shit. Shipping is also in general just slow.

In store you have to deal with a bunch of fucking sales guys and a lot of their prices are overpriced like their GPUs and loads of other stuff.

 

The salespeople are fantastic at confidently acting like they know what they're talking about when they don't actually have a clue.

Other than that, I don't mind Amazon's and Newegg's Combined Showroom Best Buy.

 

They do price match with amazon but amazon is still far better with returns so I would just buy it from them instead if I am paying the same price.

Oh, I've only had them ship a few small things, movies etc. and it was the standard usps 4 days or so. I wasn't aware there were issues with shipping but I'll keep that in mind.

As far as the sales people, I guess I don't talk with them too much. They do ask me if I need help and I just say no or ask where something is. I order most things online and pick up in store a couple hours later a lot. I guess I might have a different opinion if I didn't research things online and go in there knowing what I'm looking for already.

They do have some really good sales on a few select things. That is what I usually buy there, sale stuff.
