    To one of your points, I think data accuracy and integrity isn't really a major concern for a lot of requesters.

    And I don't mean that in the sense of everything I disagree with is fake news, but in the reality of current academia being solely focused on publishing. With half of academic papers being read only by their authors and journal editors, it may not matter much though.
