I think a lot of people's "information" on the topic comes from scaremongering videos from corporations (i.e., Google) who have something to gain from the way the rules are currently set up. Anyone who thinks that Google simply has the public's interests in mind when they promote the current regulations is incredibly naive.

IMO a lot of people are on board with the baddies and don't even know it. Devil coming on angel's wings and what-not.

Net Neutrality is good and keeps comcast from throttling netflix.

 

the net is "neutral" right now meaning you're free to do whatever you want without an upcharge from your provider ie listen to music, stream netflix, etc.

They're moving to change that neutrality.

 

I do... For the most part.. Its hard to just say yes I want it, because I don't know what or how many changes will happen. Could be good, could be horrible.

 

NN falls strictly under the politics umbrella folks. Love you all dearly, and can't imagine a more unifying political topic for folks who work online, but you can bet there are people here who disagree with the "popular/vocal opinion" and I wouldn't want them put out anymore than if this was a Trump v Hillary debate.
