This is why I do all of the grocery shopping for my house.

We buy almost the exact same shit every week. If I go to Publix I spend 75 bucks or so. She goes to Whole Foods and it's $100, then you add 20 for some flowers, 30 for a couple bottles of wine, $20 on random bakery shit, more expensive name brand milk and all of that. Like why is the milk from that cow $7 instead of off brand $2 milk. Is that cow college educated and grow up in an upper middle class barn? How do I know those chickens really are free range? Who says I can afford to subsidize a chickens bigger house?

I think there's a really healthy balance between being appreciative for free shit, and still being able to ask for help with the free shit that's given. I think it's the same in any real life circumstance, too.
