So you don't have the queue helper enabled and can multitab with no problems? Hmm, interesting. Maybe I'll disable it next time.
Try just turning the queue helper off. Since worker sorts by least time left by default, the main reason to use it doesn't really exist. See if that fixes it.
It's supposed to detect if you already have a HIT open in another tab and open the next available HIT. Not working correctly the last day or two.

@Melting Glacier and I had the opposite problem the other night. Accepting a HIT that was part of a batch (Pins, in my case) and working on it from queue would redirect us through the rest of the batch, not to the next HIT in the queue. Which was actually really awesome. I noticed that loophole is fixed, and now trying to work on a batch I was being redirected to my queue even though I wasn't even working from queue. I turned off the queue helper and all is good now.
