Everyone hates on people who work on the holidays but I personally prefer it. I enjoy the overtime and I don't mind working while I am single if it means someone with a wife/kids can be at home and spending that time with their family.

me too once I worked at a homeless shelter through christmas time (which were open year round 24/7 in sf) and got doubletime which was great for being a $12-13/h worker

 

It's not that I hate the people who want to work those days, it's more so I hate the business owners who decide to stay open and not give their employees the choice

 

Have a buddy out driving truck for triple time right now, I'd take all those shifts.
