A final coating with my Scrubbing Bubbles spray bottle, handily kept in a nearby receptacle (the top of the toilet tank), a wipe down of the nearby area to eliminate overspray, viola, back to sanitary conditions and it's also a convenient toilet-cleaning exercise. And no ucky bits and particles to be found, with an anti-septic bleach aroma to astringe the nostrils.

If you buy your chemicals from a legal American retail outlet, they are fine to use in a public sewage system. It's all accounted for, and the nerds at the EPA are very good at doing what the Sewage Engineers tell them to. A septic tank is your own risk. Everyone develops an uneasy relationship with their own septic system, YMMV.

Source: Was friends with a Sewage Engineer. They hate 'disposable' baby wipes too but chemicals are no problem unless you're dumping a barrel down there.
