I get so many damn projects in my head from Pinterest, but admittedly after the coffee table i'm a little discouraged, so I haven't gotten back on the horse and tried to tackle anything else.

 

I restored some night stands from a set my exes family handed down from generations and I think I could hurl those things off the moving truck and they would still be in great shape. I love good furniture.

Even my decent quality newer stuff that I bought in like 09 is hitting the point of needing to be replaced, I can't even imagine being as cheap as Matt with that stuff or I would perpetually need new stuff.

Of course, when I first adopted Skeeter I had no idea how bad his seperation anxiety was so I once left him out instead of in the kennel for like 15 minutes? He chewed up a bunch of my furniture in that time span.

He doesn't do that anymore, but man he used to have really bad anxiety (worse than now).

 

I literally saw a desk like the one I have now doing a pin and I latched onto the idea. I then bought my widescreen and had to use a side table to fit all my monitors cause my desk was too small.

Matt made the mistake of pointing out the old barn had some good wood for a desk though. This led to him toting a very heavy barn door across the property and the old barn is like 100+ years old and is wayyy far back.

I was totally prepared to use some wood from the airport too!

That coffee table is beautiful though! If you lived closer, I would have bought it myself!

 

Dude, but that stuff is the best. Totally worth it. My "desk" is two tiny cheapo desks from walmart that are half broken sitting next to each other, and then some glass door shelves thing on the end for me to put the printer on. It works, but I def need something new soon.

I keep trying to tell myself I just had bad timing of trying to sell it because of the holidays. I might try listing it again around the time people start getting the tax returns. Chris said we could just call it a loss and keep it, but right now we don't have room and I guess I just really want the satisfaction of selling it.

Have you tried any antique type stores or flea market type situations? We have a TON in town, and most have stuff from local folks too.

Honestly, if I wasn't worried the shipping would break my soul, I would buy it off you cause the dogs pretty much ko-ed my coffee table and now it's the cat's table LOL.

 

Guys, I was worried Bearnie/Porgy wouldn't like their christmas gift but I think we can say Bearnie loves it.

 

I like haven't even wanted to see what the shipping would be like to try listing it on Etsy or something because ouch. It's heavy af. I'd be better off delivering it somewhere myself, my little car gets decent gas mileage .

The ones we have here are basically just full of garbage. I describe them as "places where trashy people go to sell their trash to other trashy people". I also describe basically my whole town as trash though.

 

I got off to a good start early this morning, but I haven't made one cent in 5 hours.
