Arguably, you don't learn any type of development to an appropriate level without going past Joe Schmoe. Sure, it's cool if you want to just mess around for yourself. But, if you want to get into making useful scripts and programs for others to use, you should be worried about readability, documentation, extensibility (note: this is a development term rather than an actual word), speed, and security from the outset. Regarded as an afterthought, that's how you get insecure, bloated, unstable, inefficient programs. While the material is harder to digest for someone who is a beginner, it is vital that they learn the correct processes, pitfalls, and patterns the first time around.

    Edit: Typo
Edit: To build onto this further and help alleviate some concerns about how in-depth the MDN goes in regards to beginners, check out their tutorial aimed at beginners: https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/Tutorials.

The issue is that it runs through only 1 panda per cycle. So this is like have a 23s reload for each panda.

I don't see the Wills panda linked above in your PC. Also, the number of pandas you're running at the same time is slowing you down. Try running 5-7 at a time and you'll see your elapsed time and PREs go down.

Are you running overwatch? If so you should be able to get a panda started in time (Or go ham) when you see him pop up

I am from one of the other tribes of Israel. I follow the commanded assemblies. It 's not really appropriate for me to elaborate on a public forum.

I don't do a ton of transcription but I use otranscribe.com. You can use the escape key to pause and there are several other keyboard shortcuts.

Yesterday was such a great day for numbers.
Almost 1400 hits finally got me to 10k submitted.
It's the little things. Like this donut I'm about to smash.

Mmm. I used the string that you provided but I can't seem to make it focus or click on the radio. I tried other strings based on other scripts but nothing happens inside the hit itself. Here is the source:

To make a personal script for an mTurk HIT? No.. it really isn't "vital" at all. A very basic, rudimentary understanding of what is what is beyond acceptable to write a TM script to make a couple $/hr better on a HIT that may/may not ever show up again.

Context, context, context.. The vast majority of folks here trying to learn need to spend as little time learning as possible so they can create functional scripts as quickly as they can muster their fingers to produce code so they can up their hourly wage on AMT. They aren't looking to become professional developers. It is always a balance of time invested learning/coding :: hourly increase on available work.

Everything you said is true somewhere else. But for a Turker to spend weeks reading through the MDN is almost assuredly a waste of his/her time as a starting point. If they find a passion for coding and want to turn it into a career, I agree 1000% with everything you said. But telling people they're learning incorrectly by not becoming a professional programmer for mTurk scripts is ignoring the situation most people here are in.

Okay, sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm super excited to finally have some Wills and I don't want to mess them up and get blocked or something.

If the video is an advertisement, but does have the action, do I still say yes to it?
