    For the jQuery testing, I just use a bookmarklet to enable jQ so I can mess around in the console.

    bookmarklet code:
    Code:
    javascript:var s=document.createElement('script');s.setAttribute('src', 'https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.1.1.min.js');document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].appendChild(s);console.log('jQuery added!');void(s);

    Make a bookmark with whatever name you like, mine is 'enable jQ.' Then paste the above code in as the url...

    edit: changed to current jQuery and switched alert to console.log from @Kadauchi's tips.

    My son lives in Oakland and got his Dad some of this coffee for Father's Day last year. Very good coffee!

    I know you said you're not looking for anything too fancy, but if you ever find yourself in the position of wanting more, you like doing things yourself, have a bit of time to dedicate to the process, and want the freshest coffee possible:

    1. Buy green coffee beans
    These are coffee beans that have not yet been roasted. They are pretty cheap. The plus side here is that you can control all aspects of the beans you choose: local, organic, free trade, single-origin, etc.

    2. Acquire a roaster or adopt a roasting method
    There are numerous tutorials online that depict the processes and equipment that one can use for this.

    3. Purchase a grinder
    • Avoid steel blade grinders
      • Inconsistent grind
    • A burr grinder is the way to go here (though, this commands a higher price)
      • Hand-operated burr grinders are not used for finer grinds (for example, espresso)
    4. Filter your water
    Tap water has all sorts of chemicals and minerals in it that can affect your cup. Filter them out.

    5. Invest in a quality variable-temperature electric kettle
    This allows for precise temperature control, which is vital to getting a great cup of coffee. This can double for making tea as well (where different types of tea require different temperatures; no, tea does not just require boiling water).

    6. Measure your water
    The ratio of grams of coffee to liters of water is essential to a just-right cup that is neither too watered down nor too strong.

    7. Brew
    There are various brewing methods (French press, Aeropress, pour-over, Chemex, etc.). Pick one and adopt the proper steps in the above processes that align with that brewing method. I put this last as the previous items are required no matter which method you pick.

    8. Enjoy
    While it can take some work to perfect things, once you get it right, there won't be a finer cup around.

    I might be forgetting some stuff here and I'm certainly no expert, but I've tried to impart what I've collected over time.

    Additionally, you may find yourself a local roaster who can provide you very fresh beans and eliminate the need to shop for green beans and roast them.

    I've heard many times that Starbucks intentionally "burns" the beans. Roasting coffee beans generally provides a different experience much of the time. Beans have various nuances that come out at times, hide at others. As such, Starbucks will "burn" the beans to eliminate these nuances. This provides the effect of having a consistent experience among all locations and bags of their coffee. It also provides a lackluster experience. From a consumer standpoint, you always know what you're paying for and getting, though.

    Bookmarklet would also work.
    Code:
    javascript:document.head.insertAdjacentHTML(`beforeend`, `<script src=https://code.jquery.com/jquery-3.1.1.min.js`);console.log(`jQuery Added!`);

    Also, that uses jq 1.11.1 which is super old and quite a few things have been deprecated since then.

    Np. Way back when, that link would actually update to the latest jQuery version. It was intended for developer use only, but people were putting it in live projects. So when jQ would update, it would break stuff on peoples sites/projects, so v1.11.1 was the last time they had it update and now they force you to use a new link for each new version so stuff won't randomly break.

    They always have a cap... but I do remember seeing a batch of a ~200 cap during the summer.
