    Don't know what it taste like, but any veggie I roast under high heat will caramelize the sugars and make it taste much better.
    Something like this. I do this for carrots.

    Just take a bite out of it like an apple!

    Kidding.

    The only time I have had it it was baked with salt and pepper and olive oil. It was kinda like a carrot taste, not bad but not my favorite.
    I know some of my friends cook it with a little bit of cinnamon on it or make soup.

    That seems like solid logic, and simple enough.

    Plus it was free so if I don't like it, I suppose it's no loss. And after I actually taste it maybe i'll have a better idea of some other direction to go with it.

    It doesn't really have much of a flavor in itself, but basically absorbs whatever flavors you cook with it. ie. olive oil, pepper, onions, etc...

    I'd heard of making soup with it, but i'm the only one in the house that cares much for soup and even I don't like it THAT much, so I didn't figure I wanna go that way with it.

    Carrot-y taste doesn't sound AWFUL at least, as carrots are up there for me in the list of least-offensive veggies.

    The amount of clutch saving in the play starting at 1:43 (me saving Moira at 1:48, roadhog saving me at 1:50) almost makes me gain faith in humanity.
