Yes, that's true! I always used it for HMTL and CSS, and it was great for that purpose, but I noticed that with Javascript it doesn't differentiate well the code :/

I'm guessing it hasn't kept up with HTML preprocessors like Pug, or CSS preprocessors like LESS / SASS.

That's probably why it's fallen out of favor with web developers. That, and the early-2000s appearance.

Aside from those things, I like how responsive it is, since it was written in native code for much older computers. Makes it great for huge files (compared to many of the modern options, which are basically just superpowered web browsers running some native code through Electron).
