I cut a little slack, especially because I know that questions can be annoying when you're not expecting them, especially if you were expecting a quick sign-up and the questions make you think (unpaid writing? lol).

But I just can't truly understand the thought process of someone who sees 3 questions to join a group and decides to selectively answer only one. People who just submit without answering any of them, I can understand. People who answer all the questions are great, even if each answer is only a "yes". But answering one of three questions just makes zero sense to me.

@ChrisTurk I actually landed a little respectably-paid $60 gig on Upwork last night, unsolicited, writing a Tampermonkey userscript.

If they actually found me on there, then it might have promise as a nice platform.

On the other hand, if they found me elsewhere on the web and just decided to contract me through Upwork, then the platform is just costing me extra fees when I could've just earned the full amount if the client contacted me through email to set up the contract.

Still too early to tell how viable the platform will be for me, but that's my update.
