    Yah, I was pretty scared the last two times and last year I got 'mini' audits (basically just confirm some stuff with proof and show up in person to an IRS office) from state/fed because of the changes to dependents. :emoji_sweat_smile: I feel more confident about filing this year so I'm hoping to branch out. :emoji_smirk_cat:

    If you made $20k+ on mTurk (will receive a 1099) I'd go w/ freelance/contractor
    If you didn't, self employed will likely ask you fewer questions (specifically, it'll probably skip asking for the 1099 forms).

    Contractor is probably slightly more accurate, but AFAIK the classification itself makes no difference and I don't believe its attached anywhere to your forms but don't trust me too much I'm just a rando. The designations likely only exist to alter the questionnaire w/e software you're using prompts you for.

    Yeah, the free link basically leads to the H&R Block stuff that is a lot like the Turbo Tax. It's super easy to use.

    Not looking forward to this year though, I actually have to start paying quarterly and am not looking forward to figuring that out :cry:
