    That's Barnett Newman's Onement VI. He has a thing for layering paint and emphasizes the importance of viewing large paintings up close so you can appreciate the texture and the way different strokes blend together. Personally I prefer Ellsworth Kelly, but to each their own. :dunno:

    IMO judging the worth of an artwork by how much some random collector was willing to spend on it misses the point. Why did they feel the urge to pay $48mil? Idk. Why did someone pay $133,000 for two seats at Game 5 of the NBA Finals last year? Why do people shell out a quarter million for a Lana Marks handbag? Why do even "normal" people pay of thousands of dollars for shiny rocks to profess their love for someone?

    (The answer to that last one is a ridiculously successful marketing campaign by a guy called De Beers in 1947, but details.)

    There's plenty of contemporary art that's not all it's cracked up to be, but pointing out the random pieces that make good click-bait articles unfairly dismisses an entire field that has some amazingly cool

    So, here I guess if you feel like my review was incorrect or misleading somehow. I don't mind, I literally just wrote it to test the TV changes and as stated my data is largely stale so if I'm incorrect I don't mind fixing it, was just an off-hand review I don't mean it as gospel. Of all the receipt reqs I've seen the least fire about Zing (maybe 411Richmond even less) so I'm kinda curious lol.

    In 2016 I did about 10 grand worth of zings. I'm not saying your misleading anyone, I'm not even saying your wrong, I just have a little bit more information about them if you are interested?
