Honestly not that surprising. While their reasoning does hold water, bitcoins also pose a threat to the old brick and mortar bank status quo. Since everyone actually knows crypto exists now, they're trying to nip it in the bud.

Oh, I love that stuff. Easier to get an idea at a glance what's going on than some random VM number.

 

I think that if and when crypto dies, it will be due to the tax avoidance and criminal activity of it all.

I mostly bothered to do it because my GF does a ton of surveys, too, and she'll probably appreciate it. So thanks for bringing it up.

I actually wrote that library ages ago specifically to do things like this, and I just totally forgot about it and never actually used it for much. The only thing I've really used it for until now is to make Numpad+ an optional "return" keybind in my generic keybinds script.

 

Yeah, it just gets in the way when my windows are docked left/right/corners and I'm on the small screen...but if that's the biggest thing I have to complain about today, I guess it's been a pretty good day.

I've been using that since the switch to worker. Good old www could return with a url, but making a HIT return from the iframe in worker was a little too tricky for me. So thanks for that!

 

Yeah, it's just one of those things where you just have to allow yourself to get past the artificial limitation of trying to do everything with one script. Once you do that, and set 1 script for the parent and 1 for the child, you can use the HTML5 messaging API to get them talking to each other.

I'm going to add a semitransparent red indicator that's similar to my "submitted coloring" script's overlay, but red instead of green, so that there's some sort of visual indication of why the HIT was returned rather than having the user think it's just an mTurk bug or something.
