    AFAIK, it currently doesn't but seems to still be planned for a future update.

    It's probably because it's a popular HIT where all HITs were accepted before they made an appearance on MTurk's search result list (that delay seems to be about 3-5 sec IME). Happens to me all the time with international JL.

    There should be no difference between the two for whether a HIT is caught or not. It's all luck of the draw.

    I'd have to say no, again. Opening a new tab, pasting the accept URL and hitting enter every second would be functionally identical as far as MTurk is concerned. Back before TurkMaster was a thing, people used tab auto-refresh extensions to attempt to catch missed HITs (this is no longer viable with the URL redirects on Worker).
