    $1 for ~15 minutes is still ~$4 an hour, which is less than minimum wage.

    I really don't think that they were criticizing the timer.

    That was just the suggested time in the title of the hit, oftentimes that time is inaccurate(except the times when it's disappointingly on point). The journalist is clearly presenting her data in a way to promote an agenda(see the Dynamo link in stated article.) I refuse to believe anyone could do that little research and call themselves a journalist.

    They make a point of saying the 80¢ survey had a 45 minute timer and given the way they stylize ~15 I'd bet money on that just being the number pulled from TurkPrime, not from actually doing the survey. I would be totally unsurprised if I took the $1 survey and finished in about 7min, which is still eh, but is closer to $8.5.
