man so what are the postives of having kids?
i can't see anything better then living a hedonistic life without care (beside my two dogs but they are more like infinte homies then kids..).i do gotta clean their poop though and that sucks but atleast they guard my gear when im not here

No positives for the parents, it is my mother who takes joy in her mini revenge for all I did growing up. Lol.

 

Really great example of how parenting works -

Today was "western day" at school. Kiddo doesn't have much western type stuff, so we made do and I decided she needed freckles to go with it. Put a lot of work into making some realistic looking freckles, and she's pouting the entire time. When i'm done she starts acting like she's going to cry, and I ask what's wrong. She promptly wails "YOU MADE ME UGLY"



I suggest she goes and look in the mirror, because she hasn't even SEEN it yet. After some arguing she goes and looks, and then immediately stops crying and says "Oh, it is cute, nevermind" and goes on about her way.

 

When I get old and feeble and start biting people, my kids will be forced to pay for my home and take care of me and clean my poop. That's why you have kids.

That's how I recall things working as a kid. I ended up interested in whatever my dad was watching anyway since he watched a lot of educational shows, documentaries, and old timey shows and movies. Even when I could pick my own stuff, I chose stuff like Nick at Nite (if it wasn't TGIF).

I did get away with watching way too many inappropriate things, though, but I ended up okay and not a serial killer or anything. The only two things I was ever censored from were Silence of the Lambs because it scared the shit out of my dad, and Dances with Wolves because I repeated an inappropriate line at really inappropriate times.

 

i can see this point but tbh i personally rather live fast and hardcore and die young then being a crunchy old bag of stale chips

The only thing we really censor the little from is sexual content. And it's mostly just male nudity tbh. She walks in on me enough changing/in the bathroom that female nudity is nothing.

She's crazy over horror/gore so I don't try to censor her from that. But man is it a bummer that most horror movies have sex scenes
